A Message from Director of Athletics and Activities Jamesia Tuiava

Dear Brentwood Community,

I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the kindness, patience, and support you have shown me over the past several weeks as I continue to navigate my “new normal” following the unexpected passing of my mom. The encouragement from this community has truly meant so much to me. Although my time at Brentwood has been shorter than many of yours, you have all made me feel like I’ve been part of this community for much longer. The warmth, connection, and spirit here are something I will always carry with me.

Because of that, it is with a heavy heart that I share that I will not be returning to Brentwood after the conclusion of this school year. This is because my family is beginning a new chapter as my husband recently accepted a position as the Assistant Defensive Line Coach for the Baltimore Ravens, with his start date beginning March 9, 2026. When we first started dating, he shared his dream of one day coaching in the National Football League. Five years later, I am incredibly proud to see him live out that dream. While this opportunity is exciting for our family, it also means stepping into a season of change as we figure out what the next few months will look like.

As I reflect on my time here, I want you all to know that the Brentwood community has left a lasting impression on my life. I am deeply grateful for the relationships, memories, and experiences that I have been fortunate enough to share with so many of you. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey this year. It has truly been an honor.

With gratitude,

Jamesia-Tomesa K. Tuiava
